For every woman ready to take one step forward.

R Agile Studio is a creative studio for the women reshaping how we work with AI. Agile coaching, facilitation, organizational design, and healthy AI enablement — grounded in Kamakura, rooted in Nordic ways of working.

Priority: women-led teams and businesses. Male-led inquiries welcome, always.

About

Coaching is, at heart, the work of moving alongside people.

I'm Risa — an agile coach, service designer, and facilitator working with global and Japanese organizations for over ten years.

About eight of those years were with Reaktor, the Finnish digital consultancy. There I learned — not in theory but through daily practice — how trust-based decision-making, flat teams, and human-centered culture actually work.

When I look at a team, I see a system: people, incentives, rituals, and the invisible norms that shape how work actually flows. My job isn't to prescribe a framework. It's to move alongside leaders and teams while they design their own way of working.

Since 2026, I run R Agile Studio from Kamakura, Japan — with a specific bias toward supporting the women who are stepping up to lead teams, businesses, and cultural change. That includes women introducing AI into their organizations in healthy, human ways.

Philosophy

Nordic reason,
Japanese care.

Two decades between global consultancies and Japanese enterprise taught me something simple: the way people work matters as much as what they build. The best teams I've been part of — Reaktor, Satori Finland, and now the women-led businesses I coach in Japan — share a quiet insistence on trust, transparency, and a slower kind of decisiveness.

I bring that Nordic sensibility to the Japanese context. Not by importing frameworks wholesale, but by helping teams find the version of "psychological safety" or "servant leadership" that actually fits their culture, their people, and the season they're in.

When AI enters the picture — and it does, more and more — my role is to help leaders keep humans at the center. AI as a tool that expands what people can do, not one that replaces the thinking they should still own.

What I do

Three ways we can
work together.

01

Agile coaching & facilitation

For leadership teams designing their next chapter. Workshop design, decision facilitation, and long-form coaching on how the team wants to work. Formats range from a single strategic session to a six-month engagement.

02

AI enablement for women-led teams

Practical AI adoption without the hype. For small businesses and mid-sized organizations where the leader is stepping into AI for the first time. From use-case discovery to Claude/Gemini implementation to team enablement.

03

Organizational & cultural design

For companies in transition — succession, restructuring, new leadership. I help design the operating rhythms, communication patterns, and shared rituals that let a team actually function through change.

"What used to take a full day now takes 30 minutes."

A third-generation family plumbing business in Kanagawa, led by a young woman stepping into the leadership role during a generational transition. Together we designed and shipped a new website in five weeks — then began adopting AI to reduce the time she spent on estimation, planning, and mentoring her three younger staff.

Beyond the deliverables, this partnership became the template for how R Agile Studio works with women-led SMBs in Japan: patient, hands-on, and grounded in what the business actually needs to move forward.

Let's work
together.

If you're a woman leading a team, a business, or a change — and you want a coach who has actually done the work — I'd love to hear what you're building. Whether it's a single workshop or a longer partnership, the first conversation is always a no-pressure fit check.
